Home-from-Home offers a childminding service run by a qualified Montessori teacher, also holding the NVQ 3 Children & Young People's Workforce qualification.  Home-from- Home is a home-based childcare enviroment, for a small number of children.  It is ideal for parents who are looking for quality child care for their young pre-school aged children, or for older children after school, or for the holidays.  It offers a safe, caring, friendly, fun and relaxed atmosphere.

We enjoy many outside activities (in addition to those in our garden), including trips to soft play,  playgroups, the library and parks - Arundel Castle grounds are very close.  We also interact with other childcarers and nannies, so the children experience additional socializing, as well as with the other children in the setting.  This gives them those vital social skills including turntaking, sharing, and negotiating, which prepares them for when they start school. 

As well as being involved in a variety of fun activities, we do focus on many Montessori elements - for example practical life skills, pouring their own drinks, putting on their own coats/clothes (sometimes with help), encouraging good table manners as well as general manners.  By the time they are ready for school, they will have gained the basic skills  (to hold a pencil, know simple shapes, colours, numbers and letters).   So all they need to worry about is having fun and making friends!

We can only accept 3 children under 5 years, plus a further 3 children aged over 5 years (ideal for school holidays) - so places are limited!
